“The Echoplex played host to a different kind of dance party over the MLK Jr weekend. Free of turntables and synthesizers, the organic, Afro-Latin beats of Staten Island’s The Budos Band and LA-based openers Jungle Fire had everyone moving. The heat was on, but no rivalries existed between this East Coast/West Coast pairing, just endless energy and joy as fans let loose.”
